Toronto’s ultimate historic attraction, Casa Loma is a splendid gothic revival home. Perched atop a hill on five acres, Casa Loma is in constant demand as a film location. Tour the majestic home of financier Sir Henry Pellatt boasting soaring battlements, secret passageways, lush gardens and vintage car collection. The only full-sized castle in North America, Casa Loma is a must-see, Edwardian-era time machine!
As Canada’s most recognizable icon, the CN Tower defines Toronto’s skyline. An engineering Wonder of the Modern World, it soars 553.3 metres high (1,815 ft)! The Tower offers eyepopping views from the Lookout Level featuring a glass floor!
Royal Ontario Museum
The largest and most-visited museum in Canada, ROM is home to a diverse collection of art, global culture, and world history. It houses 40 galleries and an astonishing 6,000,000 items including dinosaurs! ROM’s original façade is Italianate-Neo-Romanesque. In 2007, ROM unveiled The Crystal, a multimillion-dollar expansion with a controversial ultra-modern design.
A former parking lot magically transformed into a whimsical urban beach park. Located in a heritage industrial area next to Redpath Sugar Refinery, Sugar Beach features pink umbrellas, white sand, Muskoka chairs, and tree-lined promenade. The perfect beachside setting to catch a few rays!
Designated a National Historic Site, Kensington Market is one of Toronto’s oldest neighbourhoods. Known for tree-lined streets and clusters of Victoria townhouses. Eclectic and multicultural, it’s considered the Bohemian heart of Canada, offering vintage stores, street art, and authentic food spots.
Famous as a Bohemian enclave in the 1960s’, Yorkville today is the epitome of chic shopping. This posh neighbourhood is the place to be seen especially during Toronto’s famous film festival. Filled with charming Victorian homes, elegant shops and trendy restaurants, Yorkville includes Bloor Street’s “Mink Mile” for those seeking serious retail therapy.
It’s a memorable stroll at the Distillery Historic District, offering the continent’s best-preserved collection of Victorian industrial architecture. Both hip and historic, the revitalized whisky distillery features galleries, boutiques and artisan studios. The pedestrian-only setting is a walker’s delight with cobblestone streets, twisting lanes and outdoor sculptures.
St. Lawrence Market
A food lover's paradise! Named one of the world's top food markets, the historic St. Lawrence Market is filled with bakers, butchers, artisans, and antique dealers. Toronto’s cultural tapestry is on full display as we walk through a piece of Toronto’s history. Over two centuries old, it’s a treasured landmark.
Toronto is a stage lover’s dream. It boasts the largest concentration of stage theatres in Canada and the third largest English-speaking district in the world. Toronto’s Theater District offers touring Broadway and West End productions; and is host to numerous festivals. The entertainment district includes notable historic theatre landmarks and is home to Canada’s Walk of Fame. A must-see for playgoers.
