The intricate designs on the face of the Floral Clock are created with up to 16,000 carpet bedding plants and are changed twice each year.
The planted face of the Floral Clock is maintained by Niagara Parks horticulture staff, while the mechanism inside is kept in working order by Ontario Hydro. The tower at the back of the clock houses Westminster chimes that greet each quarter hour.

Tour Itinerary

We’ll depart from downtown Toronto and travel by comfortable mini-coach to Niagara Falls.  Along the way, our Niagara Parks licensed tour guide will provide an overview of Toronto and the small towns surrounding Lake Ontario. 
Upon arrival in Niagara Falls, admission is included to the Hornblower Niagara Cruises boat tour, a once-in-a-lifetime boat ride to the base of Niagara Falls.  After the boat ride, there’s leisure time to explore Niagara Falls on your own.  Enjoy lunch on your own overlooking the Falls or relax in the beautiful parks.
After lunch, we’ll stop at Table Rock so we can take some superb photos at the top of the Falls.  From here, we’ll travel along the Niagara Parkway, making stops at the Floral Clock, Whirlpool Rapids and Hydro Station.  
Our final stop will be the lovely town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Stroll the main street lined with quaint boutiques, coffee shops and ice cream parlors before we return to downtown Toronto.

The tour departs/returns from 30 Grand Trunk Crescent which is a 10 minute walk from Union Station.  Union Station is reachable by subway, GO Transit or the UP Express from Toronto Pearson Airport.  Grand Trunk Crescent is also walking distance from many Toronto hotels, including the Fairmont Royal York, Delta Toronto, Germain Maple Leaf Square and InterContinental Toronto Centre.
